Recently, Los Angeles Lakers C Andrew Bynum proclaimed himself to be 100 percent, is ready for the season to begin, and in the best offseason shape that he's ever been in. Bynum will be 21-years-old when the season starts and should be able to build on last season when he was starting to have a breakout season (13.1 PPG; 10.2 RPG; 2.1 BPG; 63.6 FG%) before succumbing to knee injury that limited the youngster to 35 games.
It's almost unfair that the Lakers got Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for some loose change and a pack of bubble gum, but now they can look forward to having Bynum coming back heatlhy and just wreck the post area too? It's not out of the question that the Lakers once again make it to the NBA Finals. Especially with a player such as Kobe Bryant on the team, as he not only wants to win to a high degree, he actually does all he can on the floor for a W.
So, for all of you Lakers fans, you'll have a lot to be happy about when a healthy Bynum steps back on the hardwood and gets back to banging and making buckets. And considering this is a contract year, what better incentive does Bynum have to produce? Besides a championship ring, of course.
